Whatever the occasion, The Grumpy Troll is the perfect spot to meet friends, family and business associates for a fun and relaxing get together. The historic Mount Horeb Creamery building, built in 1916, was transformed into a restaurant and brewery in 1996. The Grumpy features a full lunch and full dinner menu including lunch and dinner specials prepared by our chef. Our on site brewery, operated by our award winning Brewmaster Mark “"The Captain"” Duchow features up to twelve beers on tap spanning all tastes and styles. Our beer selections include bourbon barrel aged beers and cask conditioned beers. Our beer menu changes regularly and can be viewed on our website under “beer menu”. We offer brewery tours free of charge. Our beautifully appointed main dining room features a full bar and we have another full bar/tasting room on the upper level with big screen TV’'s for sports viewing plus shuffleboard, English style steel tipped darts, foosball and pool. The upstairs is accessible by stairs or elevator and has its own rest room facilities. This area is also available for banquets (click here to view Banquet Menu). We also have an outdoor hop garden adjacent to the main dining room where you can sit and enjoy one of our award winning beers.
